Go!Healthy launched Go!Healthy Meals in 2007 as an innovative food service program for children that provides scratch-made meals that feature whole, unprocessed foods and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Delicious and nutritious
Go!Healthy Meals is a critical source of nutrition for children in our center-based early childhood classrooms, who consume as much as 80 percent of their daily calories while in our care. Youth in our center-based after-school programming also depend on our healthy meals, which are delicious, nutritious, and inspired by the many cultures found throughout the ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥â€™s Aid community.
Our recipes feature seasonal, fresh produce; emphasize whole grains; eliminate highly processed foods; and encourage a variety of protein sources. All recipes exceed USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Nutrition Standards and NYC Food Standards.
Go!Healthy also provides regular professional development trainings for ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥â€™s Aid food service staff, which are designed to impart the knowledge and skills to prepare our healthy recipes and to ensure compliance with federal and city mandates.
