Internships and job opportunities can help young men and women start shaping their futures and careers, and inspire them to achieve in and outside the classroom.
Finding substantive work and internship opportunities is critical to the mission of ľ¹ÏÖ±²¥â€™s Aid. When combined with academic success, to and through college, the young people in our targeted neighborhoods can think of their dreams in a different way—as plans, well within reach.
For each young person that comes through the door, we aim to find them at least one work opportunity and get them to apply to—and ultimately attend—at least one college or university. Work opportunities are most plentiful during the summer, but jobs and internships are available year round at corporate partners, in the offices of elected officials, and at some of our sites.
Our rigorous Job Readiness program puts young people in a position to succeed. The experiences they take from their jobs and internships do far more than just add a line to their résumés. These ambitious teens establish relationships that can help them in the future, and they also get to think about their own career prospects in an entirely new light.
